FAQ: What size do you recommend for my....?

My blankets come in three sizes: baby, child (or small), and adult (or large). I recommend the baby blanket (about 2.5' x 3') for newborns to about 1 year old. I recommend the child, or small, blanket (3' x 5') for toddlers up to very early school years. After that, I recommend the adult, or large, blanket (5' x 6'). I say this because children only grow more and more every year--like little weeds! I think it is better to spend a little more now and get the blanket that will last them a long time than to have to buy them an adult blanket in two years. Of course, the decision is yours--I only say this because people ask me often what sizes they should buy for their loved ones. Christmas is right around the corner... Wait... No it's not. BUT, now is a great time to get started on your Christmas shopping--without having to leave the comfort of your home (or your jammies)! I am taking orders for Christmas now. You can place your order to be completed as placed or to be completed at a certain date. FAQ: Why do these Blankets Cost so Much?

My prices are based on a standard mark-up of the price of fabric. Fabric costs vary greatly from manufacturer to manufacturer, store to store, and even week to week depending on sales. I make every effort to keeps your costs low, but I must include all my material expenses, even shipping costs if I have to order fabric. I add a flat rate to the price of materials for labor--no matter the price of the fabric or size of the item. Meet Bosco. He is my best friend's boxer. He is in love with his banky. I can make doggie blankets in any size, but I recommend this size as it is easily carried and positioned by the dog. I am now making baby blankets! They are made of only one design, so there is no front and back. However, there is a smooth edge with no knots. I was afraid the knots would irritate the baby if they were in his or her face. These blankets will be very affordable, usually around $20. They make great gifts for baby showers!

FAQ: How Do I Wash My Blanket or Pillow?

All of my blankets and pillows are completely machine washable and dryer safe. Yes, you can throw that entire pillow in the washer. It is small enough, and the pillows I use are machine washable themselves. I recommend gentle cycle for washing, but I have had no trouble with the regular cycle, either. Regular heat in the dryer is fine, but remove them promptly when dry. I do not recommend letting the dryer run well past the blanket being dry. If you should have any quality issues with your knots, I will be happy to address those on a case-by-case basis. The care instructions for the fabric are as described above, and I cannot be held responsible for faulty fabrics. Patterns to Choose From for Custom Orders

Because I can't possibly post all of the patterns available for your choosing, I am posting some links to pages online with lots and lots of patterns. The following list contains the places I will buy from online. Sometimes there are different things in the store than on the website, and some stores don't have websites (I know, it's 2009!), so this isn't all I can get my hands on.

If I have to order your material, I will be at the mercy of the shipping, so it may delay your blanket. If I can get it in the store, I can usually turn around a blanket in 24 hours--unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Please let me know if you see anything you like. I will continue to make stock blankets, but they sell fairly quickly, so if you want something, jump on it!

If you get a fabric from online, I will take it to the store once I get it to match it to solids. You can choose the solid you want, but I don't recommend attempting to match them from online images.

Welcome!

I am using the blog to assist me with selling knotted blankets. You've seen them--two pieces of fleece material knotted all the way around. They are very comfy and soft, and I would love to make one for you today.

I will begin creating stock for immediate ship, but I will also take custom orders. If you can think of it, it is probably made in fleece. I will just have to find it.

I will make two sizes standard. These two sizes will be small (child) and large (adult). The child is about 3' by 5' and the adult is about 6' by 5'.

Pricing will vary based on the cost of the material. For instance, licensed materials (like college or pro sports or Disney characters) are usually $5 to $10 more per yard. Approximate prices will be $25 to $35 for the child size and $40 to $50 for the adult size. This is only an approximation. If I get a deal on the fabric, it will be lower, and if the fabric is unusually expensive, it could be more.

Shipping and packaging will be at the cost of the buyer. I will not mark this up at all, so it will be on a case by case basis. I will ship UPS unless there are extenuating circumstances. Please contact me with questions.

I will take Paypal ONLY for payment. No exceptions. Sorry. However, I will NOT pass on the Paypal fees to the buyer.
